Shipping policy
1. Shipping Cost
The actual shipping cost will be calculated in the checkout for each order.
2. Import and Tax Costs
NOTE: Import duties, taxes, and other local charges are not included in the shipping cost displayed at checkout. Customers are responsible for understanding and covering these costs based on their destination country’s regulations.
Customs Import Fees by Region:
Norway: Orders above NOK 350 may be subject to VAT and customs fees.
USA: Customs duties may apply to all orders.
UK: Orders exceeding GBP 135 are subject to VAT and potential customs fees.
Please note that the above are only examples and that customs duties may apply regardless of the destination, that is, the country to which we are shipping the order.
Hanataba AB is based in Sweden; however, our products are manufactured in the EU, India, and China. Any customs charges that may apply are based on the product’s country of manufacture.
By completing a purchase, customers accept full responsibility for any import-related costs. If a shipment is refused due to unpaid duties or taxes, the package will be returned to the sender. In such cases, a refund for the products will be issued, minus a USD 20 administrative fee and any import or return-related costs. Shipping and return fees will not be refunded.
3. Delivery time
Delivery times for Postnord, DHL, and DB Schenker are typically 5–7 business days. However, delays may occur during peak periods, such as high order volumes, inventory closures, manufacturer delays, or customs processing.
4. Track Your Order
All customers will receive a tracking link in an email when their order is shipped from Hanataba. The tracking link you receive depends on the shipping carrier you selected at checkout: DHL, PostNord, or DB Schenker. Here’s how to track your parcel:
Important Note
Please ensure the email address provided during checkout is correct. If you don’t receive a confirmation email, check your spam or junk folder. It’s your responsibility to provide a valid email address to receive tracking updates.
DHL Express
If you chose DHL Express, you’ll receive an email with your tracking link sent to the email address you provided during checkout. Use the link in the email or visit DHL’s tracking page to monitor your shipment’s progress.
PostNord
If PostNord was your selected carrier, the tracking link will be included in the shipping confirmation email. You can track your parcel on PostNord’s tracking page. Once your parcel arrives in the destination country, use the same tracking number on your country’s main postal service website for further updates.
DB Schenker
If you selected DB Schenker, the tracking link will be included in your confirmation email. You can track your shipment on DB Schenker’s tracking page.
