Have you tried Hanataba Waterbubbles - our cute hydrogel beads that make a big visual impact.

Our waterbubbles are an excellent complement to fresh-cut flowers or bulbs, offering both practical and decorative benefits. These beads can be used in a number of ways and they're an easy way to add charm and creativity to your arrangements. They’re always a talking point when used in decorations and table settings!

These  clever, jelly-like pearls start out as tiny granules. Before you begin you need to let them expand, roughly overnight. Pour the beads into a bucket or big container, add cold water, wait a few hours, and watch them transform into crystal-clear, dreamy bubbles. One small pack makes about 4 litres of beautiful beads - enough for quite a few arrangements!

Why we love them

  • Effortless magic: Just add water - the beads expand up to 100× their size!
  • Clean and elegant: The clear version keeps the focus on your flowers, while the pink variant adds a romantic pop of colour.
  • Reusable: Rinse, store in water, and use them again for your next bouquet or table setup.
  • Versatile: Perfect for vases, decorative bowls, or event centrepieces.

Create stunning table centerpieces with ease by placing waterpearls in glass vases or bowls along with floating candles or submerged flowers. The translucent quality of our waterpearls adds a light and airy touch to the display, perfect for weddings, dinner parties, or everyday elegance.

Cute holiday decorations

Our waterbubbles are a perfect companion to hyacints during the holidays!

  • Remove the soil from the roots of the hyacints and give them a good rinse.
  • Add some waterbubbles to the vase of your choise.
  • Place the hyacints on top of the bubbles and push them down a little so they're steady.
  • Decorate with evergreens, dried apple slices or tiny christmas baubles.
  • A cute ribbon around the vase and a candycane hanging on the edge adds to the charm.
  • You don't need to add any extra water when you use the waterbubbles with bulbs - they've got all the water they need to grow stored in the bulb.

Other uses

Both young and old are intrigued by these pearls and want to touch them. Engage children in sensory play by filling a large container with waterpearls and letting them explore the textures and colors. Add toys or figurines for imaginative play.

A few tips

  • When you use our waterbubbles with fresh flowers you always need to add some water to the vase, so that the flower's got something to drink.
  • Try pairing waterbubbles with a single-stem rose and some greenery in a slender, tall glasscylinder. Simple, yet very beautiful!
  • Don’t pour unused beads down the drain - they expand in water and might block your pipes.
  • You don’t have to activate the whole bag at once - use just what you need.
  • If you've expanded too many, simply store them in water until you’re ready to use them! Once they've been activated they need to be kept moist or else they'll dry out and cannot be expanded again.
  • Keep them out of reach of small children and pets (they look a bit too much like candy!).
